Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use ValuePair. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your password secure; if you suspect unauthorized use, change it immediately from your account settings. You may not share your account or create an account for anyone else.

ValuePair is built on good-faith, values-driven connection. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or intimidate any other user.
• Post or send content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that depicts a minor.
• Impersonate anyone, misrepresent your age or identity, or create fake or duplicate accounts.
• Solicit money, promote commercial services, spam, or run scams.
• Share another person's private information, or capture, save, or redistribute another user's photos.
• Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, probe or bypass security, or scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use the service for anything unlawful or in violation of these Terms.

You can block and report other users from within the app. We may investigate reports and take action at our discretion.

You retain ownership of the content you submit — your answers, messages, and photos. You grant ValuePair a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate and provide the service to you and the people you are matched or connected with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with others and any copies we must retain for legal or safety reasons.

You are responsible for your content and represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.

ValuePair introduces you to other people, but we do not conduct criminal background checks or verify the identity of users beyond a self-declared date of birth. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Use good judgment, take sensible precautions when meeting anyone, and report concerning behavior to us. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the conduct of any user.

ValuePair is currently offered free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will present the applicable terms before you purchase.

You may stop using ValuePair and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that you will find a compatible match or form any connection.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ValuePair and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the service or your interactions with other users. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars (US$100).

You agree to indemnify and hold ValuePair harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the service is operated. The specific governing state and dispute-resolution process (informal resolution, arbitration, and any class-action waiver) will be finalized before public launch.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of ValuePair after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

This is a pre-launch, invite-only beta operated without a public contact address yet. A support and legal contact will be published before the service opens to the public. In the meantime you can export or permanently delete your data at any time from Settings.
