A friendship test you take together
Answer eight questions about how you like to spend time, stay in touch and recharge. Then send a link to a friend. Once you have both answered, you see your answers side by side: where you match, where you differ, and one question to talk about next.
There is no score and no verdict. The point is to learn something about each other, not to grade your friendship.
How it works
- 1Answer for yourselfEight multiple-choice questions. Nobody sees your answers yet.
- 2Send one linkShare it with someone you already know. They answer the same eight questions without seeing yours.
- 3Compare togetherWhen both of you are done, you both see all eight answer pairs and a prompt for your next conversation.
The 8 questions
These are the exact questions and choices in the test. They cover everyday friendship habits, the things that quietly cause friction when two people assume different defaults.

- A few days ahead
- On the day
- Either works for me
- Question 2How do you most enjoy catching up?
- Just the two of us
- A small group
- A bigger gathering
- Question 3What contact rhythm feels comfortable?
- A little most days
- A few times a week
- Less often, with a proper catch-up
- Question 4How would you choose to catch up?
- Messages or voice notes
- A phone or video call
- Meeting in person
- Question 5After a difficult day, what helps first?
- Someone who listens
- Help finding a solution
- Some space to myself
- Question 6What would you pick for our next hangout?
- An old favorite
- Something new
- A mix of familiar and new
- Question 7What makes a good everyday catch-up?
- Keeping it light
- Getting into something personal
- Letting the conversation find its level
- Question 8How do you feel about gaming together?
- I would enjoy that
- Sometimes, with the right game
- I would choose another activity
What you see at the end
- How many of the eight answers you have in common.
- Up to three answers you share.
- Two places where you answered differently.
- All eight answer pairs side by side.
- One conversation prompt picked from your answers, even if you matched nowhere.
Why there is no percentage
Most online friendship quizzes end with a number like 87 percent. That can be fun, but a number cannot tell you whether a friendship works. Two close friends can answer half of these questions differently and be completely fine.
What a comparison can do is make different defaults visible. If one of you likes plans a few days ahead and the other loves last-minute invitations, it helps to know that before the next cancelled evening. The differences are often the most useful part.
Play it without the app
You can also use the questions as a conversation game. Read one question out loud, and before your friend answers, guess what they will pick. Then swap roles. Guessing first turns it into a how-well-do-you-know-me quiz, and the follow-up question under each topic gives you something to talk about.
This works well on a long walk, a train ride or a video call with a friend who lives far away.
Privacy
Only the two of you can see your answers after you both submit. Answers are locked once submitted, so neither of you can change them after seeing the other.
A comparison stays available for 14 days and your answers for at most 30 days. Without an account you come back through the same browser and its necessary cookie. No chat, match or profile is created.
Questions about the friendship test
- Is the friendship test free?
- Yes. It is free, has no ads and you do not need an account.
- Can I compare with more than one friend?
- Yes. You can reuse your own eight answers to invite another person. You have one open invitation at a time, and each comparison only shows answers to the two people in it.
- Does it tell us how compatible we are?
- No. It shows where your answers match and where they differ. It does not calculate compatibility or predict anything about your friendship.
- Can couples or family members use it?
- The questions are about friendship habits, but they work with anyone you already know who is 18 or older.
